FAQ

Ask Me Anything!

Utah County, UT already had the best mobile traveling groomer. Here it is!

How long does it take?

Depending on the breed and the haircut most dogs are done within 1-2 hours.  Small dogs typically take an hour, while the big dogs can take closer to 2 hours; sometimes more.

Can I come in the mobile spa while you groom?

Due to insurance reasons I can not allow anyone inside the spa.  New clients are more than welcome to come out and take a look inside to see the set-up, but I can't allow you to come inside.

Do you groom big dogs?

Yes!  My mobile spa is quite roomy and I am more than happy to take the big dogs on a case by case basis.

Why is mobile grooming more expensive than visiting a salon?

Mobile grooming is a luxury service.  You are paying for the convenience of me coming to you.  Your dog(s) gets 1 on 1 attention the entire session, unlike at a typical grooming salon where your dog is one of many.  I purposely only take a certain number of dogs per day so that I don't feel rushed and your dog feels more at ease during the grooming process.

Does my pet have to be current on vaccines?

Do you have to use my electricity and water?

It is a state law that your pet be current on the rabies vaccine.  I do require proof of a current rabies vaccine.  While I do not require other vaccines to be current, I do recommend you keep your pet up to date on all vaccines.

Absolutely not!  My mobile spa is fully self contained with a quiet diesel generator, water heater, AC, heat and fresh water.
There may be a rare occasion when I need to plug in due to mechanical issues.  In this case you will be notified ahead of time and we can reschedule your appointment if you wish.

Do you do sedated pets?

I do not groom any pet that has been given medication that can alter their behavior.  I believe pets that need medication/sedatives to be groomed should be done at a Vet clinic.  This is for your pet's safety.  It is very easy for a pet to have an adverse reaction while on sedatives.  Having them groomed at a Vet clinic ensures they can get the care they need should something happen.

What forms of payment do you take?

I take all major credit cards, Venmo, and cash.

Why am I quoted a range instead of an exact price?

Until I have seen your dog in person and have gotten the opportunity to touch your dog and assess its coat and current condition, it isn't possible for me to give you an exact price.  After seeing your dog in person, I can give you a more exact price.  There are still some factors that could change the price.  Behavior issues, matting, or special needs due to age or a physical condition, are all things that can vary the price.

At what age should I start grooming my puppy?

The sooner the better!  I highly recommend getting your pup in while it's young so it can get acclimated to the groom process as early as possible.   I do require that your puppy has had at least 2 sets of puppy shots so that it is protected.

Do you groom cats?

Yes! I groom cats on a case by case basis.

Can I bathe my pet before you come to save money?

Do you do senior/geriatric pets?

I sure do!  Mobile can be great for senior pets.  Although there are some cases where it would be better for your senior pet to be done at a salon or Vet clinic.  Your pet's health and well being is most important and we can discuss what the best option will be.

My grooms are a full-service package.  I do not give discounts for a dog that has already been bathed.  A proper bath is very important in order to get a great haircut.  To get the quality you desire I use high-end products and a special bathing process to make sure your pet is as clean as possible.  Let me do the work for you!

Do you do aggressive dogs?

Are there any breed restrictions?

I take all pets on a case by case basis.  There are some breeds that will require a evaluation before I will work on them.

What are the benefits of using a mobile groomer?

If your dog has a history of being aggressive toward a groomer, Vet or anyone else please let me know.  I have worked with dogs with behavior issues in the past and I may be able to help.  I do not take large breed dogs that have a history of behavior problems.  This is because I work alone and it's too dangerous for me to do such dogs without help.

There are so many benefits to using a mobile groomer.  It's all about convenience!

Perhaps you have a busy life and don't have time to take your pet to the salon and pick it up.

Or maybe your dog gets car sick and you don't want to deal with the mess.

Some dogs get stressed at salons because there is a lot going on and they aren't used to high-energy places.

If you don't like the idea of your dog being in a crate most of the day.

Maybe you just want your dog to have 1 on 1 time and be fully pampered.

Mobile grooming is a luxury service and is not for everyone.

Are you insured?

Yes!  My business is fully insured.

Do I need to be home?

For the first appointment or two I ask that you are home.  That way I can get to know your pet and also make sure I am clear on your preferences.  After that, I am more than happy to offer latch-key service!  For payment, I use Square credit card processing which provides a fully secure site where your credit card info can be stored.  The only other thing I ask is that you keep your pet in a confined space prior to my arrival.

What happens if my dog is injured?

The safety of the pets in my care is my number one priority, so I take every precaution to avoid injury to your pet.  However the tools are sharp and dogs don't always stand still.  Injuries do happen from time to time.  Usually it is just a minor cut that doesn't require veterinary attention.  On very rare occasions, where veterinary attention is needed, I will notify you of the situation, so your pet can be taken to the Vet ASAP.
